RSorder OSRS: Although Mithril Dragons are unlocked through Slayer tasks

Spiritual Creatures found in the God Wars Dungeon (GWD) are notoriously annoying to deal with. These monsters have low Slayer task weights but are widely considered some of RuneScape gold the most tedious to kill in the game. They require a significant amount of preparation,as you'll need specific God-aligned gear to avoid constant aggression from other GWD monsters. Their loot table is also poor,so the task isn't worth the hassle unless you're specifically after a pair of Dragon Boots. For me,these creatures were the first I blocked, and I've never regretted that decision.
Steel Dragons

Steel Dragons, like Black Dragons, are high-defence,high-Hitpoint monsters that can be tedious to kill. Their primary attacks include a strong dragonfire breath and powerful melee attacks,so you'll need to bring protection prayers like Protect from Melee and Piety to maximize your efficiency. Although the introduction of Project Rebalance has made Steel Dragons weak to Earth Spells, they remain a slow kill, and their loot table isn't very rewarding. Steel Dragons often come in small task sizes, and even with Earth Spells, these tasks can take far longer than preferred. Given their high difficulty and low reward,Steel Dragons are a prime candidate for blocking.
Mithril Dragons

Although Mithril Dragons are unlocked through Slayer tasks and offer good experience for higher-level players, their slow kills and low drop rates make them inefficient. They have a high defence level, making them challenging to kill without using powerful weapons and high-level prayers. Given their lack of good drops and high task weights, they don't fit well into an optimized Slayer strategy.
Conclusion

When you're grinding towards 99 Slayer, your primary focus should always be maximizing XP efficiency while keeping the grind as enjoyable as possible. While it's tempting to always aim for the most efficient tasks, don't forget to prioritize fun. Some tasks might not be as rewarding in terms of XP,but they can offer a break from the more intense grinding.

By blocking the right monsters and selecting the most efficient tasks, you'll be able to speed up your Slayer journey. The tasks listed above—Hellhounds,Cave Krakens,Black Dragons,Greater Demons,Spiritual Creatures,Steel Dragons, and Mithril Dragons—are prime candidates for blocking if you want to focus on high-XP tasks with better drops.

Ultimately, the Slayer grind is a marathon, not a sprint, and managing your Block List effectively is one of OSRS GP for sale the keys to success.

RSorder OSRS: Herblore is often overlooked

Mine copper and tin to RuneScape gold make bronze equipment. Eventually, you'll move on to iron, steel, and mithril. Prioritize early smithing levels so you can craft your own gear instead of relying on monster drops.
Crafting

Gather cowhides from cows near Lumbridge, tan them, and craft leather gear. It's an easy and efficient way to train Crafting while preparing early armor.
Herblore

Herblore is often overlooked early, but becomes crucial for creating potions. After completing the Druidic Ritual, start farming herbs and making potions when possible. Strength and Prayer potions will significantly improve your early combat performance.

Combat: Train Smart, Not Hard

Combat is essential for progression, but early-game monsters can still be dangerous when you have limited food and gear. Start with low-risk targets:

Chickens and Cows – Great for food, bones, and crafting materials.

Goblins – Drop basic gear and coins.

Stronghold of Security – Offers a safe zone for combat training and rewards you with 10,000 coins. It's one of the best early-game activities for Ironmen.

Train Melee, Ranged, and Magic in balance. As an Ironman, flexibility is crucial. Having all three styles leveled will allow you to adapt to different boss mechanics and Slayer tasks later.

Don't Neglect Prayer

Prayer is one of the most important survival tools in OSRS. Protect from Melee, Missiles, and Magic can mean the difference between victory and death.

As an Ironman, you must collect bones manually:

Bury bones from chickens, goblins, and other early mobs.

Upgrade to using a gilded altar in your Player-Owned House or a friend's for better XP rates once you're further along.

Consider using the Ectofuntus for efficient Prayer XP if you're training early but want to save bones.

Skilling: Unlocking Key Utilities

While combat is vital, many quests, gear upgrades, and content require non-combat skills. Here's what to prioritize:
Agility

Start training at the Gnome Stronghold Agility Course. Higher agility lets you use shortcuts, reduces run energy drain, and unlocks key quest paths. Even level 30–40 agility early on RuneScape gold for sale will drastically improve your efficiency.
