Tim would walk home every school day, year after year, and his shoes always fell apart. Shoes need to last a long time, his mom was fond of saying, however Tim's shoes always seemed to fall apart after a couple months. If he was short, all the better, the increased height from those soles added to his comfort. He could even push the sole back for a more relaxed, comfortable fit when he wanted to go for a little walk. It was all the right balance between comfort and sophistication.
