How to Remove Stickers From Glassware?

I would buy anything glassware if it had a sticker on it and I couldn’t get all the sticky off. But fear not, there are a couple of easy tricks up our sleeve that can have your glassware labels removed in no time! There are a few simple tricks to get rid of stickers that simply don’t want to budge from your glass.

Simplest solutions to remove pesky stickers from glassware:

  1. Soak it up: Run yourself a fresh sink of hot soapy water, dunk in your   custom glassware   and leave it to soak for about half an hour. This should help to pry up the adhesive that’s holding the sticker on.

  2. Use a scraper: If the sticker is being ornery, you could also use a plastic scraper to carefully lift it. Just be sure to take it slow and easy, so you don’t scratch the glass.

  3. Oil it up: Smear just a little oil or mayonnaise over the sticker and let it sit for a few minutes. The oil also helps dissolve the adhesive, which will make it easier to take off the sticker.

How to get your glassware sticker-free in a jiffy:

  • Begin by adding a sticker by peeling off as much as possible by hand.

  • Remove the sticker, then clean any remaining residue with a microfiber cloth.

  • Use a touch of vinegar or rubbing alcohol to help break down the adhesive in particularly stubborn stickers.

Apply the paste to the residue with the soft cloth and gently rub, and then rinse away with warm water. Your glassware will be gleaming in seconds.

How to get stickers off glasses without scratching:

Take care when removing vase stickers and labels so as not to scratch the surface. Be sure to always use plastic scrapers, or soft cloths, to avoid scratches, and do not use force when removing unwanted substances from your workshop glassware. If you’re having trouble peeling the sticker off, you can try letting it soak a little longer in warm, soapy water to help loosen the adhesive.

Some of the easiest ways to bring your glassware back to tip-top shape:

Warmed vinegar or a vinegar and water solution may help remove stickers and restore your   borosilicate glassware   original unstickered look.
