Hi everyone,
I’ve been staring at my LinkedIn “About” section for weeks and I just can’t get it right. Every time I try to write about myself, it comes out sounding either like a boring list of job duties or like I’m bragging. I’ve rewritten my headline about ten times and I’m still not happy with it.
A colleague suggested LinkedIn profile writing consulting here: https://www.cvmaker.ae/linkedin-profiles , where someone helps you shape your headline, summary and experience sections instead of just handing you a finished profile. I like the idea of getting guidance while still keeping my own voice, but I don’t know if it’s worth the money.
For anyone who has tried it, I’d love to know:
Was the consulting more about writing the content for you, or coaching you on how to write it yourself?
Did you notice more profile views, connection requests or recruiter messages afterwards?
How long did the whole process take, from first call to finished profile?
Did the consultant explain how LinkedIn search works, such as keywords and headline structure?
Would you do it again, or could you have managed it with a good template and some feedback from a friend?
I’m also curious about what you’d tell someone who is on the fence. Is it a smart investment if you’re actively job hunting, or only worthwhile for senior professionals and people building a personal brand?
Any honest opinions, good or bad, would be really appreciated before I decide.
Thanks in advance!
